Event Setup Crew Member

We are seeking dependable team members to help with event setup and breakdown throughout the summer season.

Responsibilities • Set up and break down event equipment such as tents, tables, and chairs • Load and unload equipment from trucks • Transport and organize equipment at event sites • Keep equipment clean, organized, and properly stored in our Malden storage unit • Work efficiently as part of a small event crew

Requirements • 18 years of age or older • Extremely reliable and punctual • Able to independently travel to event sites and our Malden storage location • Comfortable performing physical outdoor work in varying weather conditions • Able to safely lift and carry up to 80 pounds repeatedly • Good communication and teamwork skills • Available Wednesdays plus some Friday evenings and Saturdays between June and August. Possible contract extension after August.

Compensation • Starting at $30/hour • Independent contractor position (1099) • Part-time seasonal work

Backup Sound Equipment Technician

We are a Malden-based event rental company seeking a Backup Sound Equipment Technician to fill in for our Sound Equipment Technician when he is unavailable throughout the summer season. Our website is maplewood-events.com.

Responsibilities • Set up and run sound system for events when our Sound Equipment Technician is unavailable • Be knowledgeable on how to integrate a performing group’s sound system with our speakers when needed

Requirements • Must be l8 years of age or older • Extremely reliable and punctual • Available on short notice Wednesdays 1-9pm between June and August as well as some possible weekend jobs. Possible contract extension after August. • Experience with sound systems a plus

Compensation • $40/hour • Independent contractor position (1099) • Part-time seasonal work
